(Orlando, FL)-  Nation’s largest national football championship kicks off this weekend in over 40 states nationwide to determine the nation’s top 7th and 8th grade football team. All American Games, producers of the largest prep football event, the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, has put together an even larger tournament this year. In its second year, the FBU National Championship—the football version of the Little League World Series—has expanded to 196 teams (including 6th grade exhibition match-ups) competing in an NCAA-style bracket tournament to select a true national champion in youth football’s 7th and 8th-grade division. National sponsors of the tournament include Adidas, Eastbay, Gatorade, Holiday Inn, Xenith, SKLZ, Jersey Mike’s and SOTL.

Last year’s crowned national champions, Team Central Florida, represented the state in the FINAL FIVE during U.S. Army All American Bowl Week in San Antonio, TX.  They took on Team Oregon 21-20 in the semi-finals and won against Team Texas 25-14 in the Alamodome for the national championship title.
