One of the most highly anticipated shows kicks off tonight as we recap the Pop Warner Super Bowl, the local South Florida Championships, the Football University National Championship Regional action in the southeast and discuss, should weighted football be thrown out for good. All of this and more on this week’s edition of Football Hotbed Radio, hosted by Ivory Durham.
In Duval Hour, we’ll discuss the UYF Championships and the defeat of the three-time champion M.O.T. Cowboys at the hands of a Tampa team that won it all in 12U. We’ll also highlight the career accomplishments of the excellent Sweetwater Midget team that won the Pop Warner National Championship at the Midget level.
And finally, what about the “older but lighter” play rule in Pop Warner and in AYF? Is it time to put this to the side or is this a needed rule provision that’s being abused.
