Tamarac, FL–The Pembroke Pines Optimist Bengals are back to their winning ways in the 10U division as they are both the defending champions and the rising champions from last year’s 9-year-old division.  So far, Coach Chris Mcgonigal’s team is still undefeated having earned wins over Pasadena last week and a resounding 36-0 win over the Tamarac Cougars yesterday.PPO kickoff

This team has been at the top of the food chain in South Florida’s American Youth Football League (AYFL) since they were Pee Wees and are now showing as they grow older that they still have the edge to be the division’s best.  This 10U PPO team is lead by a very intelligent young quarterback named Nick Vattiato.  He’s been one of the more accomplished young quarterbacks in South Florida, mostly because of his ability to throw the ball well at such a young age.  It also doesn’t hurt this team that they hand off to one of the fastest young kids in this age division, Jaden McBurrows, is a youth track championship runner in the backfield.

Football Hotbed was on hand to catch the second half action between the Bengals and Cougars as well as collect some post game comments.  Check out these highlights below from our YouTube channel.  It’s a Hotbed World.
