The Arizona combine was truly amazing. The event from start to finish was well planned and organized in true Football Hotbed fashion. Under the direction of Arizona Director Dino LoPesio who did a wonderful job with the help of his wife Patti and a host of staff members from Chaparral High School. The event kicked off with an introduction by Hotbed Executive Director Brandon Odoi that led to recognition of important people who gave their expertise to the event such as QB Guru Coach Mike Giovando and Speed expert Bille Welle.
The Arizona crowd came out with a strong presence to support the youth athletes participating in the combine. There were several highlights and tons talent in the desert. Notable standouts like former Football Hotbed All-American Alumni (2019 WR) Lacarea Pleasant-Johnson had an incredible day showcasing how much he has worked on improving his craft as a top wide-out as he prepares to take his talent to the high school level. (2019 QB) Spencer Rattler lit it up connecting with every WR at the combine showing his elite skills before heading to the Football Hotbed QB Showcase in Florida the weekend of May 1st- 3rd. The entire 8th grade class in Arizona enjoyed competing and taking home some hardware on behalf of Arizona sponsors for combine top performers
After a great day of competition and battles in the showcase 1 on 1 drills we were able to add a few more athletes to the list of Golden Ticket holders. Arizona showed a tremendous load of talent that has a bright future with many standouts that caught the eyes of various coaches were only 4th graders, (who will all be eligible for Golden Tickets next year). Once again this was a well put together combine and one of the best in Football hotbed recent history. We look forward to returning next year to see more talent and go up a notch in competition. Thanks to Dino Lopesio Arizona is now a prime spot for Football Hotbed with more things to come.
