Powder Springs, GA–The National All-American Combine was a tremendous showcase of talent in the Southeast, particularly in the 2019 class heading into High School this fall. During the five-hour combine, Football Hotbed selected two All-Americans and in the evaluation process in the weeks following the combine, added one more.
Elijah Moore, 2020 RB
Peachtree Ridge’s Elijah Moore was a 2014 Football Hotbed All-American selection based on his film, but this year he came to our Atlanta combine to show why he was worth the selection. He showed off great speed and good lateral quickness and exception hands for a running back and earned another Golden Ticket invitation to our 2015 All-American game. Moore is a member of the 2020 class and is the second running back selected during the process. Caziah Holmes of Titusville, FL was selected at the Pompano Beach combine in April. Both Moore and Holmes have track speed and make for an exciting mix of speed and power, especially when considering Holmes’ 6’0 frame. Moore’s on the smaller size but just as tough and almost as fast.
Cade Funderburk, 2022 WR

Football Hotbed also selected a wide out in the 2022 class named Cade Funderburk at the Atlanta Combine. Cade showed off his speed and great hands at McEachern High School in Powder Springs, GA at our Atlanta Combine. He was awarded an All-American Golden Ticket invitation on the spot. His teammate and quarterback, Liam Glass, has also been tabbed a Football Hotbed All-American after review of his film. Glass showed a keen sense of poise in our combine’s gauntlet drill that puts a quarterback in a virtual 2-minute drill. For a rising 6th grade quarterback, his calls were direct and he had good decision making skills that make him a great addition to our 2022 All-American class.
Both Funderburk and Glass play in Gwinnett County’s GFL League, one of the nation’s largest youth football organizations and also one of the best. Their team made the playoffs and lost their final game of the 2014 season to the eventual league champions. Football Hotbed salutes all of our All-American selections from our Atlanta combine.The overall MVP of the combine and the most impressive athlete present was rising freshman WR Brannon Spector. Spector is a completely under the radar, budding star that we had the pleasure of being introduced to during our time in Atlanta. He’s got great size at 5’10 as a member of the 2019 class and probably isn’t done growing. He caught everything thrown to him and even made some difficult catches that most couldn’t make at his age. He’ll attend Calhoun High School in Northwest Georgia and should play immediately. What we liked best about Spector, even more than his 4.8 40 time and his athleticism was his attitude. He was always encouraging other players in the combine to give their best and finishing every drill, leaving no doubt that he’s a true competitor and works and practices hard every day. He’s truly a rising star and someone to watch this fall in high school.
