Former University of Miami Def. Coordinator Takes Job as Youth FB Coach

Miami, FL-– According to Peter Ariz of Canesinsight.com, former University of Miami defensive coordinator Mark D’Onofrio is currently coaching youth football at Kendall Boys & Girls Club in South Miami.  The team is presumably one that he has a child on and probably doing so in a volunteer role.  It only makes news because of how incredibly unpopular the embattled former UM assistant was in Miami by the time his head coach, Al Golden was let go after a lopsided loss against Clemson.  Golden is now coaching in the NFL but D’Onofrio, who many blame for much of the unsuccessful tenure of Golden, didn’t get a coaching job in college or pros after not being retained by new Miami head coach Mark Richt.

Ariz’s tweet drew tons of reaction from Hurricane Twitter.

Realizing that many people would think he was trolling the former Miami coach, Ariz followed his initial tweet by tweeting:
