Should we crown them again? Palm Bay Rockets (4-0) on the South remains the team to beat in the East Coast Conference after dominating Space Coast Sharx (1-3) by the score of 28-0. Palm Bay won the ECC Junior Midget and Midget titles in 2011 and this team is stacked with talent all over the field. Palm Bay has outscored their opponents 136-0. These games looked like Flava Flav at a track meet….. running clocks all day! The word around the ECC is that the Rockets have a National Title team. We will see what happens come playoff time.  Palm Bay plays NSB next week in Palm Bay.

West Volusia Wolves(4-0) might have something to say about Palm Bays dominance as they have gone on to a early run of their own. The Wolves remains undefeated in the North after demolishing Ormand Beach 33-0 and the first four opponents 133-8.  They are big, strong, fast and look to dominate anyone they play. Wolves take on Deltona next at Deltona.

Daytona Bucs are also (4-0) in the North with two big wins over  New Smyrna 27-6 and Space Coast 28-6. Two other victories were forfeits vs Flagler and North Brevard.  This team wont be tested until Oct 6th when they go on the road to face West Volusia. Next opponent for Daytona will be at Home versus Deland Sept 29th.

Merritt Island Mustang(2-2) beat the New Smyrna Beach Cudas(0-4)by the score of  33-0 to improve .500 on the season.  Mustangs face St.Cloud next week at Home.

The most competitive game this week was the Cocoa Tigers(3-1) upsetting  previously unbeaten Port Orange Hawks(3-1) by the score of 18-12. This back and forth game saw long Touchdown runs by Cocoa and long Touchdown passes by Port Orange. This final outcome was decided when the Tigers stopped the Hawks on downs inside the red zone with less than 1 minute remaining in the game.  Port Orange will have a forfeit win next week versus North Brevard Hawks and Space Coast will host Cocoa.
