Chayden Peery QB 2021
Every week that goes by here at Football Hotbed we continue to meet hundreds and hundreds of kids across Southern California and beyond, that are interested in playing football on the next level. Most of these kids being youth, their next level is high school, then college, and hopefully the NFL. They all have great supporting cast members like parents, coaches and local fans that assure them they are on the right path. One thing that seems to be consistent is the fact that most of the kids are in the 6th grade making them a 2021 high school grad. In Southern California that grad year should be interesting to say the least, for how much talent it could produce and the fact that this class in particular, could be the catalyst for recruiters to start fostering their relationships with kids a lot sooner.
One of the leaders of that 2021 class is QB Chayden Peery. Chayden or as his teammates call him “Chay Money” has been lighting it up on the score board in tackle football and in 7v7 tournaments for the last two years. Chayden is a natural pocket passer that has a great core and solid mechanics. At the moment he only boast a 5’6 frame but with a father that is 6’4 and more importantly a mother that is 5’11 he should be catching up to both of them in no time. Chayden has been working his way up to being one of top youth QB’s in the country. In May he will be putting his skills on showcase at the Football Hotbed QB Showcase in Florida. Chayden will also be in attendance for the West Coast Super Regional Combine in Upland California on April 25, 2015. Perry has a heavy workload but takes it all one day at a time. As a member of the National Honor Society he still finds time to put school first and then puts focus on his craft as a quarterback.

At the moment Chayden is working at least twice a week on his footwork and agility, and working with his QB coach Robert Phillips twice a week. Talking with him he already has a high football I.Q. and is happy playing football. He noted that when he first started playing football he wanted to be a Tight End but the QB position is something he feel into and loved it. He has been a sponge for knowledge ever since, even getting to call up SoCal great Brady White from Hart High School (who is headed to Arizona State) to pick his brain about the game and coverage’s the defense might give.
2021 will be here very soon. Chayden has even given a hint that he is interested in play high school football at famed Long Beach Poly. He still has two years to look forward to that, put until then the grind continues and road of hard work is still ahead. Chayden is one of those kids that knows hard work will get him where is wants to go so he welcomes it. As a member of the Baldwin Hills Figthing Irish he will also lead his team into an invitational tournament at the West Coast Combine to take home a Football Hotbed Tournament Series Championship trophy.
