Today in the AYFL it was upset’s all day as some top seed and highly ranked power teams went down in the first round of the playoffs.It started a little afternoon when the Coconut Creek Eagles 105s a 6 seed came into Coral Springs Mullins Park to take on the Plantation Wildcats 105s a 3 seed and when it was all over the Eagles had started upset Saturday off with an 14-6 win over Plantation.Two games later at Coral Springs Chargers home field the Cooper City Cowboys 125s the number 3 seed took on the Coconut Creek Eagles the 6 seed.In what was a tight game all throughout with a few seconds left the Eagles threw up a desperation pass which was completed for the Eagles to win 12-6 and move on to the semi-finals.Then another 3 vs. 6 match up the 140’s Pembroke Pines Bengals led by defending super bowl championship coach Lance Rigby imposed there will upon the Wildcats of Plantation 34-6.Across the county over at Cooper City the #1 ranked Hotbed team Cooper City Cowboys 140s would lose there first game of the year 18-6 at the hands of the Davie Broncos a team that we all knew was a dangerous match up for anybody having to be the 8th seed.Also earlier in the playoff day the reigning peewee super bowl champs now 95s Plantation Wildcats were upset by the mighty Weston Warriors 95s 6-0.This goes to show you anybody can be beat on any given Saturday in the AYFL.
