(Jacksonville, FL)– The second annual Hotbed Classic is in the books and it was a great pre-season tournament in which four champions were crowned. The Mentors of Tomorrow (MOT) Cowboys won the 8U, 10U & 14U championships as the host club and the Gwinnett Chargers from Georgia won the 12U championship with a resounding 51-0 championship game victory.
There were six programs who participated in the tournament overall, up from four programs last year. The event continues to grow and is becoming one of the Southeast’s largest spotlights for unlimited weight football across the country. The Woodland Acres Wolverines were the other team from the Jacksonville area participating. From Georgia, there were the Gwinnett County Chargers (12U), Georgia Thoroughbreds (14U), August Elite Cowboys (12 & 14U) and The Program Spartans from Grovetown, GA (near Augusta).
For the first time this year, we announced an All-Tournament Team.
