Drive and determination to be the best….
This is the story of Tyrone “Ty-Ty” Neal, a straight “A” student that skipped kindergarten and went straight to first grade who dreams of becoming a great football player.
When Tyrone was 3 years old he would go to “Camp Turner” a youth football camp with his big brother Derek Neal Jr. (DJ). During the first couple of camps Tyrone would watch his brother and mimic him on the side lines, which caught the eye of the instructor; so he allowed Tyrone to come out and compete. Tyrone was the smallest thing out there; but he had the biggest heart. Immediately he showed maturity and attention to detail well past his years. His ability to compete with the bigger boys drove him to perfection. I still recall one instance when Tyrone noticed he did a drill wrong and the instructor passed him through thinking he’s small and didn’t get it, but at the end Tyrone told the instructor “I messed up and I’m going to do this right!” the instructor eyes popped and he said “WOW, you can’t teach that Dad.” Tyrone was 3 years old.
By the age of 4 Tyrone was text book tackling big 10 year old kids with no pads on, he had worked on his speed the entire season by running up and down the field each time anyone scored a touchdown, it didn’t matter who scored Tyrone would just run like the wind. It was obvious he was anxious to play football, but he had to wait.
In 2012, Ty-Ty’s young career started when he was five years old and boy did it take off! Tyrone immediately shot to the top of the depth chart with kids equal and older than him. The team quickly became Tyrone’s team as he stepped up, and out worked everyone on the team. He then encouraged them to do better and better they did. The same team had previously gone 0-8 in the prior season, but with the addition of Tyrone he led them to the playoffs, were they eventually lost to the mighty MOT cowboys.
The year is 2013 and Tyrone Ty-Ty Neal is back with almost his entire team intact. He seems to be determined to go all the way no matter what. With another year of live action experience under his belt the feeling is winning it all or nothing else matters. Tyrone says he’s poised to lead his team to the City Championship with victory as the only option. We will see how this story plays out from the KID WITH THE VISION…..as noted by many observers.
