Hotbed Radio Show | February 17, 2014

So much news and only an hour and a half to cover it on the greatest youth football talk show in all the land, Hotbed Radio.  The show from Monday, February 17th was another great edition of Hotbed Radio with guests Troy Solomon, Deante Hampton, Mike Lundy and coach Tony from Sweetwater.  We were also joined by several parents of the Sweetwater Junior Midget team from 2013 who said they would like to finish out their careers under coach Lundy’s expertise on offense, namely the quarterback’s father whose nickname is “noodle.”

In South Florida, the big news is the return of the Carol City Chiefs Optimist organization to the Florida Youth Football League.  This has been a strong rumor for some time but there are only a few more steps according to president Martin Maltsby of the FYFL.  Carol City would instantly become, due to the talent they are attracting, one of the most powerful parks in the South Florida Area.  Also too, the FYFL is now completely unlimited as a league.  Their new unrestricted, age only format allows them to match up with any team in the state.  Additionally, they make history by becoming South Florida’s first unlimited league.
