A news filled edition of Hotbed Radio last night as the B.E.S.T. Youth Football Leagues’ Lauderhill Lions and East Boynton Beach Wildcats submitted applications to join the FYFL (Florida Youth Football League). Listen as we discussed those applications and what they mean for the future of the B.E.S.T League (only a year old) and if there is a future at all.
Also, we talked to FYFL president Martin Maltsby to get his opinion on what the remaining three teams in the B.E.S.T. could do and see what recourse there was for missing the application deadline. Maltsby confirmed to Hotbed that Boynton Beach and Lauderhill had submitted applications. President Sam Goodman of Lauderhill, who is also the B.E.S.T. league president, will stay on at Lauderhill as president despite conflicting reports.
We also talked about the future of South Florida youth football on this latest edition of Hotbed Radio. Check out the show archive below.
