Miami Gardens, FL–At Football Hotbed, we are passionate about getting High School kids the opportunity to play college football. That’s why we start in Middle School, introducing showcase platforms for kids like our Middle School All-American game, National Middle School Invitational Showcase and National Lineman Challenge. The aim is to prepare young athletes to compete and stand out from a crowd of students hoping to earn college football scholarships upon reaching high school.
However, we recognize those opportunities are scarce given how many high school students play football annually and how few full scholarships exists for athletes (approximately 3,300 a year nationally). Therefore, with the understanding that many college coaches come to South Florida each year during the final evaluation period (currently underway) we are holding a showcase event to allow student athletes the opportunity to show what they can do in person and filming it to send off to our database list of college coaches who are not present.
While there are no guarantees, this is an excellent opportunity to improve your perception during the final days of the recruiting process, leading to National Signing Day.
The cost to attend the event is $40. Each athlete will run the 40 yard dash twice, run the short shuttle and compete in 1 on 1 drills to exhibit and show what they can do on the football field. See the flyer below for additional information. Registration link: CLICK HERE. Submit payment below to compete registration.
Pre-Registration: $40 — Showcase registration. ONLY 75 SPOTS. GEAR: All participants are asked to wear a dri-fit T-shirt representing their high school (e.g. Miami Central) and black shorts. Quarterbacks should bring (2) footballs to use during the event labeled with their last names.
