Phoenix Arizona’s Rattler Take Future 4 MVP Crown

Ft. Lauderdale, FL-  The inaugural National Middle School QB Showcase overall winner was Spencer Rattler in the class of 2019 from Phoenix, AZ.  Rattler barely nudged out Jacksonville, Florida’s Griffin Helm to win the contest that finished in a dead heat and was determined by the intangible, strongest arm, as Rattler had the longest throw on the day of any quarterback present (over 60 yards).  The 6’0 signal caller from the southwest managed to score high enough during the two-day competition that featured a QB assessment test, full athletic combine and throwing drills to make the final 4 for his class.  There, Rattler separated himself making crisp throws and recognizing defensive shifts in coverage to claim the overall crown.

The finish is most impressive.  Of 63 quarterbacks present, representing 19 states, Rattler can make a great claim for being the nation’s best Middle School QB heading into Arizona’s Pinnacle High this fall.  Prior to this weekend’s contest, Rattler earned MVP honors at Hotbed’s Arizona Select Combine in Scottsdale.  A true athlete, he stars on both the gridiron and on the basketball court.
