Miramar Wins District After Narrow Win at Western

In what has turned into an important district rivalry, the yearly match up between Miramar and Davie Western High is epic. It’s not only the close proximity between the two schools and their relative Miramar and Davie, Florida neighborhoods but also the parody of talent between the two programs. In recent years, Western has caught up to Miramar’s star power and produced lots of Division I athletes. In 2016 they claimed the district, knocking out the Miramar Patriots.

Not so this year.

In a crazy back and forth game, Miramar was able to hang on and beat Western 27-25.
