DOLPHINS: An Excellent Outing Stuns New England 27-20

MIAMI GARDENS, FL— The Miami Dolphins (6-7) are still mathematically alive for the NFL Playoffs and they played like it Monday night, at home against New England. A 27-20 victory over rival New England (10-3) keeps their dim wild card hopes alive.

It was one of the more spirited outings of the season for the Dolphins who controlled the game from start to finish.  Big plays were the key and quarterback Jay Cutler was the icing on a very sweet ‘cake’ night for the Dolphins.

Jay Cutler had perhaps his best night as a Dolphin.  The ease he had in the pocket and more importantly the accuracy of his throws were on full display tonight.

The defense also did their part. Brady took his shots but he ultimately he was picked off twice.  He finished the night 24 for 43 with 233 yards a touchdown and two interceptions.

Early on, it looked the the Dolphins may blow out the division’s second best team.

When the Patriots drew closer as you’d expect for a team of their caliber, Miami answered the call.

Now at 6-7, the Dolphins hit the road against Buffalo and Kansas City in consecutive weeks before hosting Buffalo for the season finale and a potential playoff clinching home game on December 31st.
