Freshman are clearly the most overlooked in high school. It’s all about the seniors as it rightfully should be. Freshman on the high school and college levels are making impacts more so now than ever before. The following 2021 freshman have already put many on notice and all of us who follow the sport will be excited to see these young lads grow into men over the next three years.
Troy Stellato, WR Cardinal Gibbons (Fort Lauderdale) South Florida Air Raid is getting great production from the budding star. His size (6’1” 150 pounds) and speed (4.95 40) made him a tough cover at last weekend’s seven on seven tournament.

Donnell Harris, DE Miami Booker T. Washington Harris is able to consistently disrupt the backfield on almost every play. He has ideal size at 6’6” and will only get stronger.

Marcus Tate, OT University School (Davie) The Big Aeropostale has been offered from D-1 colleges since the eighth grade. He is one of the more athletic big man you will ever see at 6’5” 275 pounds.

Thad Franklin, RB Chaminade-Madonna (Hollywood) Franklin was the do everything back last season. He played quarterback and running back last season and had that ability to take it the distance at any moment.

Jason Marshall, DB Miami Palmetto Great ball skills and can locate the ball at its highest point. Plenty of upside and can develop into that lock down corner that college teams need.

Robert Floyd Jr. Decisive quickness gets him into the open field and once he is loose, good luck trying to catch him. The ideal slot receiver can line up in a number of different packages to give defenses fits.

Chamon Metayer, ATH North Miami Seems to always be in the right place at the right time. Also has a lightning quick first step off the ball. Has the versatility to play a number of different positions.

Jacorey Brooks, WR Miami Booker T. Washington One of the dynamic athletes of the seven on seven powerhouse South Florida Express. Brooks has the length and speed to be one of South Florida’s elite playmakers.

Kesean Norris-Hayes, DT Miami Columbus A space eater on the defensive line. Uses his strength to obstruct running lanes and does not quit until the whistle sounds.

Jaden McBurrows, CB American Heritage (Plantation) Has huge shoes to fill as two five star corners are now on to the SEC. McBurrows has versatility as a kick returner and has great closing speed on tackles.

Corde St. Louis, DB South Broward The athletic corner first started to really turn heads at the Rivals Camp in Miami. He has great feet and has a knack to find the ball in the air.

Santino Marucci, QB Benjamin (Palm Beach) Big, strong and fast. Has all the intangibles to be one of the greatest quarterbacks to come out of South Florida. Also has a future at linebacker as he was one of the more solid tacklers on his team.

Darius Chester, RB Miami Carol City Does not need a gapeing hole to make a big play. Can stick his foot in the ground and get to top speed in a blink of an eye. Also has strength to carry his team over the goal line.

Katravis Geter, RB Miramar Will inflict pain on his opponents. Not afraid to run inside or outside of the tackle box. Simply put you cannot arm tackle this guy.

Omar Simpson Jr., CB Western (Davie) Finds the football and opponents should always find where he is on the football field. Impeccable recovery speed and has a high ceiling.

Amari Daniels, RB Miami Jackson Nice vision before the snap and seems to always be pressing the turbo button. On many of his long touchdown runs defenders do not lay a single finger on him.

Corey Collier, CB Miami Palmetto You might want to think twice before throwing to his side of the field. He baits quarterbacks to throw his way and if he is anywhere near he will gobble up an interception or break up the pass more often than not.
