Florida has produced some of the best talents when it comes to the wide receiver position year after year after year after year.
Florida has produced current NFL pros T.Y. Hilton, Sammy Watkins, Calvin Ridley, Marquise Brown, Doug Baldwin, Amari Cooper, Allen Hurns, Phillip Dorsett, and Albert Wilson to name a few.
In the 2020 NFL combine pass catchers from Florida such as Jerry Jeudy, (Alabama), Deerfield Beach, Gabriel Davis, (UCF), Seminole, Sanford, Freddie Swain, (Florida), North Marion, and Binjimen Victor (Ohio State), Coconut Creek look to be the next wave of Florida playmakers to make a splash on the next level.
The 2021 class just might be the best receiving class ever when it’s all said and done. There is a boatload talent in Florida as usual and 2021 might be the most exciting when it comes to 7 on 7 and gridiron football because of the immense amount of talent. From speedsters to big targets, from possession receivers to precise route runners, you name it the state of Florida produces when it comes to catching the football. Here are the names to know for the next three to four years in college football. The following players are the best wide receivers that I have seen live and in person.

Agiye Hall, IMG Academy (Bradenton) – At 6’3″ the 190-pound playmaker made plays during Football Hotbed’s All-American Game in 2019 and everyone who did not know about the talent found out exactly what he can do. Quartebacks can just throw it up to the young man and nine times out of ten he is coming down with the football.
The four-star makes the transfer from Armwood to IMG Academy this season and will be in some featured games on a national stage. It appears that Alabama, LSU, and Georgia are his current top three schools.
Bralon Brown, WR, Chaminade-Madonna – This is a player that will continue to gain offers as the 2020 football season continues. Currently a three-star prospect that will surely gain a star this year. What stands out is his ability to use his size and strength to get open. At 6’2″ 190 pounds he is a tough cover and was vital to a South Florida Express championship at the Football Hotbed seven on seven tournament.
Christian Leary, Edgewater (Orlando) – A big part of the Edgewater offense, Leary has explosive speed and can take it the distance with a blink of an eye. What is most impressive about Leary is his ability to locate the football in small spaces.
He is the ideal slot receiver that can line up anywhere on offens. Leary released an unofficial top 12 recently that included schools like Florida, Florida State, Arizona State, USC, Auburn, Texas, Nebraska and South Carolina but also later mentioned that Miami is also in the mix.
Fred Eaford, Deerfield Beach – The former University of Miami commit transferred to Hialeah High for more playing time and is now back at his home school Deerfield Beach where he will play with seven on seven talent Pete Zamora at quarterback. Eaford has plenty of upside and great body control. Eaford dominated at the UM 7 vs 7 tournament last summer and earned an on the spot offer from the Hurricanes. Eaford de-committed from his dream school Miami about a month ago. The three-star talent also holds offers from Louisville and Indiana.
Jacolby George, Plantation – A versatile slot receiver that burns DBs. The former Miami commit was clearly the best player on the field many times last season scoring with his speed to get to the end zone. Miami still remains as an option for the three-star prospect although, Penn State, Georgia Tech and UCF have all made offers.
Jacorey Brooks, WR, Miami Booker T. Washington – Brooks seems as if he was bred to be a wide receiver. He uses his 6’3″ 185 pound frame to seperate himself from defenders and has the speed to get to the end zone.
Brooks is consistently depended on to make big catches in the corner of the end zone and there are rare occasions where he does not make the play.
The four-star prospect is the number one ranked receiver in Florida by 247 sports. Both Rivals and 247 Sports are projecting him to commit to the Miami Hurricanes but LSU and Alabama are pushing hard.
Jaden Alexis, Monarch – Alexis is yet another player that can line up all over the field. In the slot or out wide, the 6’1″ 175 playmaker can explode for points at any moment. The three-star wideout is getting attention from all the major schools but Alexis remains undecided on his top schools. UCF, Notre Dame and Texas are just some of his most recent offers.
Jake Harrington, St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale) – Harrington will have an opportunity to shine at the premier program South Florida has to offer. Harrington won a state title with Cardinal Gibbons (Fort Lauderdale) and now takes his talents to Aquinas. The three-star tough possession receiver has sneaky speed and great hands and is another great weapon for the Raiders to utilize for another championship run.
Jason Marshall, Miami Palmetto – Impressive on both offense and defense, and locating the football at its highest point is Marshall’s specialty. One of the elite athletes in the state has potential to be a five-star talent. At this point it is tough to say if he would be a better at defensive back or wide receiver but any college on any level would be happy with his services. Miami, Florida and Florida State are all in the running.
Malik Rutherford, Champagnat Catholic (Hialeah) – The fast slot receiver is deadly in the open field and has great hands to catch the football. Rutherford can catch the football in traffic and locate the deep ball with ease. The three-star talent from Champagnat is committed to Georgia Tech.
Romello Brinson, Miami Northwestern – Brinson is another gifted player when it comes to finding the football at its highest point. The former University of Miami commit continues to get better and the sky’s the limit with his potential.
Florida, Texas A&M and Georgia are all in the hunt for Brinson but Miami remains a contender. Look for the four-star to make an even bigger leap in 2020.
Tommi Hill, Edgewater (Orlando) – The big target (6’2″ 185 pounds) almost helped Edgewater complete a huge comeback victory over St. Thomas Aquinas in the 7A state title game. Hill many times kept the chains moving skying in the air for the football and was tough to bring down.
The four-star also contributes as a defensive back as well. Hill plans to visit Florida, Florida State, Arizona State and Nebraska this Spring.
Troy Stellato, Cardinal Gibbons (Fort Lauderdale) – Stellato’s recent ascension to national prominence is no surprise to the ones who follow the sport down in South Florida. The four-star speedster could be the fastest wide receiver in all of the state of Florida which is truly saying something. Stellato can run every route on the route tree and might be considered a five-star when its all said and done.
The strong, fast receiver has been a legitamate threat to defenses since his sophomore year and is expected to have a huge senior year as the clear number one receiver for the Chiefs. Clemson, Georgia, Texas, Notre Dame, Ohio State and USC are all strong considerations for Stellato.
