Las Vegas, NV — Setting yourself apart from the field is challenging in any space. At the inaugural Overtime seven-on-seven league tournament, players are looking to help their teams win, but also improve their recruiting outlook.
The recruiting outlook for five-star Brandon Inniss (6-0, 190) (American Heritage Plantation, FL) can not get any better. The most prominent programs in the country covet the dynamic playmaker from South Florida. Schools are looking to set themselves apart from the pack and offer a launching pad to the NFL.
Miami Hurricanes Head Coach Mario Cristobal is setting himself apart from the pack, particularly with Inniss.
“There’s no coach like him,” said Inniss with a smile. “He’s trying so hard and I don’t think they’ve ever had a coach like that, that came in year one and getting the guys they got and trying as hard as they can to win year one.”
A strong family atmosphere is being built in Miami and Inniss is taking notice. Cristobal is literally creating a home atmosphere inviting current players to his residence.

“Everyone always says family, but he shows it,” said Inniss with some emphasis. “The guys that are there say it’s family there now. Their mindset is to win now.”
Being from South Florida, Inniss likes the idea of traveling outside of Miami for his college years. Cristobal has shifted that perspective.
“It definitely changed my mind about going outside of Miami, but we’ll see where that goes.”
Inniss recently visited Alabama and described the visit as ‘a great experience.’

“I had a chance to meet Coach Saban and Coach Wiggins for the first time, everything was amazing. Definitely looking forward to getting back up there.”
Inniss is set to visit Ohio State next week. Inniss plans to visit his other top schools which include Georgia, LSU, Texas A&M, USC, and of course Miami.
Inniss is ranked second at his wide receiver position and sixth in the nation overall by Rivals.com.
