Traveling across the country as a teenager can be a pleasurable experience for most. For 2023 quarterback Jaden Rashada, it’s all business. The four-star from Pittsburg, California recommends that other recruits do the same on their recruiting journey.
“You get to compare easily, but it is some work, said Rashada. “I would recommend others on completing it this way.”
Rashada pushed his commitment date back to June 26th (his grandmother’s birthday) which may bode well for the University of Miami. He originally was set to commit June 18th. Rashada traveled to Miami for an unofficial visit March 31st, but has yet to visit the Canes for an official visit. Rashada took official visits to Florida, LSU, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M.

Rashada completed three official visits in seven days before competing in Las Vegas at the Overtime OT7 tournament. He had this to say about the three visits:
Florida
“They got a great coaching staff,” Rashada said. “That’s what attracted me there. Coach Napier he’s a pretty good dude.”
Current Gators quarterback Anthony Richardson had a chance to talk with Rashada during the visit.
“He just talked about the coaching they bring, he was able to answer all of my questions.”
LSU
“I learned a lot of new things during the visit. Whether or not I can see myself playing in Baton Rouge and living there.”

Texas A&M
“They made a real good impression on me and my family,” said Rashada. “It’s pretty cool just seeing how [Head Coach Jimbo Fisher] coaches and how he treats his players.”
Miami
Rashada conveyed that there could be a chance that Miami gets a visit this week.
“We’ll see,” said Rashada. “Working on that. It will come down to my relationship with the coaches and if I can see myself living there.”

Rashada will choose between Florida, LSU, Ole Miss, Miami, or Texas A&M.
“I’ll be taking my time to think about things. It’s a really big decision. I’m trying to make the best decision of my life. I’m just going to take this time to think.”
Rashada will compete in the Elite 11 competition in July, the Under Armour All-American game in Orlando, FL and the All-American Bowl in San Antonio, TX, and the Polynesian Bowl in Honolulu, HI. Rashada is the sixth-ranked pro-style quarterback according to Rivals.com.
Rashada is your prototypical pro-style passer that stands tall in the pocket (6-4, 185) and has a quick but smooth throwing motion. Mechanically, he possesses all the tools to make the necessary throws to move the chains downfield and put points on the scoreboard. His ball placement is superior in both intermediate and long throws. Rashada has the potential to be a first-round pick if he builds on his body frame and improves on pre-snap reads.
