Chaminade Wins Fifth State Championship in Six Years


Tallahassee, FL- The Chaminade Madonna Lions of Hollywood were too much for the Clearwater Central Catholic Marauders in the Florida High School Athletic Association 1 Metro Championship. Davion Gause rushed for 189 yards on 14 carries and quarterback Cedrick Bailey was 16 for 24 passing for 255 yards and three touchdowns. Five-star wide out Jeremiah Smith added two touchdowns with 104 yards on six receptions. Clearwater Central Catholic managed 325 yards but couldn’t pull within enough room to make the final 48-14 ever in doubt.
