Final Results: Future 4 Class of 2030 8th Grade

Posted on June 19, 2026 by Brandon Odoi

Raleigh, NC – The Class of 2030 Future 4 Quarterback Competition at the 12th Annual National Middle School Invitational Showcase saw a familiar face atop the standings as Jordan Jenkins of Kings Mountain, NC successfully defended his championship against one of the strongest quarterback fields assembled during the two-day event at Duke University and Ravenscroft School.

Jenkins entered the championship round as the overall leader after posting an impressive 51 points during preliminary competition. Close behind were Gabriel Vetter of Riverview, FL and Jayden Del Rosario of Raleigh, NC, who each finished the opening rounds with 49 points, while Luke Lekites of Largo, FL secured the fourth finalist position with 48.5 points. With only 2.5 points separating the four finalists, the championship remained very much up for grabs heading into the final round.

When the competition concluded, Jenkins once again proved why he is regarded as one of the nation’s premier young signal-callers. The Kings Mountain standout delivered another clutch performance in the finals, recording 33 points to secure his second consecutive Future 4 championship.

For Jenkins, the victory was historic. The North Carolina quarterback became a two-time Future 4 champion after successfully defending the title he won in 2025. His consistency over the last three years has been remarkable. Jenkins finished as the runner-up in 2024 before capturing championships in both 2025 and 2026, meaning he has either won or finished second in every Future 4 competition in which he has competed.

“Jordan’s body of work speaks for itself,” said Future 4 Director Drew Phillips. “To finish first or second three years in a row against nationally selected competition is incredibly difficult. He has set the standard for consistency at this event and continues to prove himself every time he steps on the field.”

Vetter finished as the runner-up after another outstanding performance on the national stage. The Riverview, Florida native has now earned second-place honors in the Future 4 competition three times, previously finishing as the runner-up in 2023 and 2025 before once again claiming the silver medal this year. His consistency over multiple years has made him one of the most accomplished quarterbacks in Future 4 history.

Lekites used a strong championship-round performance to secure third place overall, while Del Rosario rounded out the finalist group with a fourth-place finish.

The Future 4 competition is Football Hotbed’s premier quarterback showcase for middle school athletes and evaluates participants through combine testing, routes-on-air sessions, accuracy challenges, football IQ assessments, and live competition. The event began at Duke University before concluding at Ravenscroft School in Raleigh.

As finalists, Jenkins, Vetter, Lekites, and Del Rosario each earned automatic invitations to Football Hotbed’s 11th Annual Freshman All-American Game, scheduled to be played in Atlanta, GA this January. Their performances throughout the weekend ensured that all four quarterbacks left Raleigh recognized among the top signal-callers in the nation.

With back-to-back championships now on his résumé and a runner-up finish preceding them, Jenkins’ three-year run stands as one of the most impressive stretches in Future 4 history. At the same time, Vetter’s third runner-up finish further cemented his legacy as one of the competition’s most consistent performers, highlighting just how deep and talented the Class of 2030 quarterback group has become.
