Seven nationally ranked South Florida prospects have already competed, traveled or developed through Football Hotbed programs
The latest 2029 Rivals Industry Player Rankings offer another indication that Football Hotbed continues to identify and provide opportunities for talented young athletes well before they become established national recruiting names.
Nine prospects from South and Southwest Florida appear among the nation’s top 100 players in the rankings updated August 17. Seven of those athletes have already participated in a Football Hotbed event, college tour or team.
That represents nearly 78 percent of the region’s nationally ranked 2029 prospects.
The Football Hotbed connections stretch across several parts of the company’s platform, including its Middle School and Freshman All-American Games, college tours, Media Day and the No Fake Juice elite 7v7 program.
Robert Doctor Leads the Football Hotbed Contingent
Miami Southridge defensive standout Robert Doctor is the highest-ranked player among the group with a Football Hotbed connection.
The 6-foot-4.5, 235-pound EDGE defender is ranked No. 37 nationally, No. 5 at his position and No. 8 in Florida. Doctor participated in the Football Hotbed Freshman All-American Game and later traveled with Football Hotbed on its Texas College Tour.
His rise illustrates the value of combining competition with direct exposure to college programs. Football Hotbed evaluated Doctor as a young prospect, gave him an opportunity to compete against other elite players and helped introduce him to the college football environment before he entered the heart of his high school recruiting process.
Doctor is joined at Southridge by defensive lineman Martell Shannon, another Football Hotbed Freshman All-American.
Shannon is ranked No. 55 nationally, No. 4 among defensive linemen and No. 13 in Florida. At 6-foot-3.5 and 300 pounds, he gives Southridge one of the most physically imposing young interior defenders in the state.
Having Doctor and Shannon together gives the Spartans two nationally ranked 2029 defensive linemen who previously competed in Football Hotbed’s Freshman All-American platform.
Carol City Standouts Developed Through College-Tour Exposure
Miami Carol City also has two nationally ranked sophomores with Football Hotbed connections.
Defensive back Jamar Brinson is ranked No. 67 nationally, No. 7 at his position and No. 14 in Florida. The 6-foot-1, 170-pound prospect participated in Football Hotbed’s Spring Break College Tour.
Brinson was joined on that tour by Carol City defensive lineman Jaelin Coach, who is ranked No. 72 nationally, No. 6 among defensive linemen and No. 15 in Florida.
Coach, a 6-foot-2.5, 290-pound interior defender, has already demonstrated his ability to affect important games. He delivered the game-winning tackle on West Boca Raton’s attempted two-point conversion in Carol City’s dramatic 24–23 overtime victory over the Bulls.
The Spring Break College Tour allowed Brinson and Coach to visit college campuses, experience football programs firsthand and begin learning what will be expected of them as future college prospects. Both players were participants in Football Hotbed’s Middle School All-American games also.
Their emergence also adds to the young talent developing inside the Carol City program.
No Fake Juice Quarterback Enters National Top 100
Dillard quarterback Vince Mosley closes the national top 100 as the No. 100 overall player in the country.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound quarterback is ranked No. 9 nationally at his position and No. 22 in Florida. Mosley previously played for Football Hotbed’s No Fake Juice 7v7 team.
No Fake Juice was created to place elite athletes in competitive environments while helping them sharpen their skills, develop chemistry and gain exposure. Mosley’s appearance in the national rankings provides another example of the high-level talent that has passed through the program.
For a quarterback, the 7v7 environment provides valuable repetitions in coverage recognition, timing, accuracy and decision-making. Mosley’s continued development will make him one of the important young quarterbacks to follow in Broward County.
Like Brinson and Coach, Mosley was also a middle school All-American and played in several all-star games under the Hotbed umbrella during his youth.
Former Middle School All-American Continuing His Rise
American Heritage-Broward athlete Jeffrey O’Neal is ranked No. 47 nationally, No. 6 among athletes and No. 12 in Florida.
O’Neal, listed at 6-foot-1 and 173 pounds, is a former Football Hotbed Middle School All-American.
His progression into a nationally ranked high school prospect reflects the purpose of the Middle School All-American platform: identifying talented players early, challenging them against strong competition and following their development as they advance through high school.
O’Neal now plays for one of the country’s most respected high school football programs and has established himself as one of Florida’s leading prospects in the 2029 class.
Media Day Provides an Early Stage for Bazile
Community School of Naples running back Louvens Bazile attended the fifth annual Football Hotbed Media Day.
Bazile is now ranked No. 43 nationally, No. 4 among running backs and No. 10 in Florida. At 5-foot-11 and 200 pounds, he combines the size of a featured running back with the youth and long-term potential of a 2029 prospect.
Football Hotbed Media Day was designed to provide athletes and programs with professional photographs, interviews, recruiting exposure and direct access to established media outlets.
Bazile’s inclusion in the national rankings demonstrates why bringing younger prospects into that environment is important. Athletes receive an opportunity to build their profiles before their recruiting processes reach their busiest stages.
The 2029 class rankings were released by Rivals today. Community School of Naples RB @LouvensBazile checked in at #43 4-star and #4 RB in the country. I caught up him at @FootballHotbed Media Day. He's an outstanding prospect #TurnONTheTape @Tony_Villani_ pic.twitter.com/70rylaNwgZ

Two More Regional Prospects Make the List
Chaminade-Madonna defensive back Derrick Jones Jr. is the highest-ranked South Florida prospect in the group. Jones is ranked No. 23 nationally, No. 4 among cornerbacks and No. 6 in Florida.
The 5-foot-11.5, 165-pound defender represents another major young talent developing inside Chaminade-Madonna’s championship program.
Wellington wide receiver Tarrens Catul is ranked No. 74 nationally, No. 10 among wide receivers and No. 16 in Florida. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound receiver gives Palm Beach County representation among the region’s top 2029 prospects.
Jones and Catul are the only two members of the regional group for whom a previous Football Hotbed participation connection has not yet been identified.
Football Hotbed’s Development Pipeline
The rankings provide more than individual recognition. They show how extensively Football Hotbed’s platform is connected to the development of South Florida’s emerging talent.
The seven nationally ranked prospects have touched five different parts of the Football Hotbed ecosystem:
- Middle School All-American Game
- Freshman All-American Game
- Spring Break College Tour
- Football Hotbed Media Day
- No Fake Juice 7v7
Those programs were not created simply to generate one weekend of exposure. Together, they form a pathway that can serve athletes from middle school through high school and eventually into college recruiting.
Football Hotbed’s mission has always centered on creating opportunities and providing exposure. The latest Rivals Industry rankings demonstrate that many of the players receiving national recognition today were already competing and developing on Football Hotbed platforms years earlier.
The names are becoming nationally known now.
Football Hotbed knew them before the rankings did.
