Hotbed Showcases

welcome to the football hotbed national showcase and exposure platform

National Exposure with Proven Results

Football Hotbed events have built a national reputation for discovering and developing talent early.
Many athletes who first competed at Hotbed Showcases or the All-American Games have gone on to:

  • Earn Power Five offers and college scholarships

  • Play in Elite 11, Under Armour, or All-American Bowl events

  • Advance to the NFL

That “pipeline” effect gives the platform credibility — college recruiters and evaluators pay attention to Hotbed athletes.

Truly National Footprint

Unlike many regional events, Football Hotbed operates a multi-city national showcase series, identifying talent coast to coast:

  • Regional showcases feed into the National Showcase and Freshman All-American Game

  • Athletes from every region of the country can earn invitations

  • Creates an equal-opportunity platform for exposure beyond traditional power states

  • Media Power + Storytelling Edge

Football Hotbed’s unique advantage is its media and content platformFootballHotbed.com, social media channels, and broadcast partners.
    That means:

    • Athletes aren’t just evaluated — they’re seen, covered, and promoted

    • Professional highlight reels, interviews, and features amplify exposure

    • Events are built with digital storytelling in mind, not just competition

(This is where our parent company, B. Green Media, gives Hotbed a true edge.)

  • Focus on Education, Character, and Branding

Hotbed events go beyond the field:

    • Workshops on college recruiting, social media branding, and academic readiness

    • Mentorship from former college and NFL players

    • A culture built on discipline, accountability, and professionalism

This “student-athlete-first” approach sets it apart from commercialized showcase circuits.

  • Elite Competition Meets Access

    Football Hotbed gives athletes:

    • A chance to compete against top national talent

    • But also provides access — it’s affordable, well-run, and inclusive

    • Athletes from non-traditional programs can earn recognition right next to blue-chip recruits

That combination makes the platform both prestigious and attainable.

  • Consistent Vision & Leadership

Founded and led by Brandon A. Odoi, a respected journalist, broadcaster, and talent developer, Football Hotbed has stayed mission-driven:

“We’re building platforms that connect talent, opportunity, and exposure — for athletes who might otherwise be overlooked.”

That consistent leadership and purpose-driven approach make Hotbed trusted by coaches, parents, and recruiters alike.

Summer All-Academic & Ivy League College & Camp Tour July 6-10, 2026

Football Hotbed in an effort to assist young men in accomplishing their dreams of playing college football, is once again hitting the road to ignite the recruiting for qualified student-athletes who are invited to take the tour with us to several colleges across the Northeast.  This is the nation’s academic epicenter.  To qualify, send your information and film & official transcript to Football Hotbed by emailing us at info[at]footballhotbed. com. For more information, please call us at 888-879-3396 and dial x 700.  We are looking for varsity-level players who desire to play at the Division 1 level and possess high academic standards.

THE MINIMUM GPA REQUIRED FOR THIS TOUR: 3.6 overall (weighted or non-weighted)

Our first annual All-Academic & Ivy League Tour comes years after beginning our first tours across the Southeast and throughout Texas.  Those tours have proved to be a great way for athletes who desire to play football at elite programs, to get an up-close look at the facilities, meet and network with coaches and truly get an understanding of what it takes to play on those elite levels of Football.  We’ve had athletes from over ten states across the United States participate in tours with us throughout the southeast and Texas. This year, we want you.

Without any tours set up for high academic performing student-athletes, we thought it necessary to enter this space and provide some needed guidance and help parents and kids desiring to put their degrees first and the opportunity to search for the best program fit among the nation’s elite high academic programs.   Our tours afford athletes the ability to move in and out of schools quickly and efficiently while maximizing exposure and reducing costs as we visit as many as 12 programs during each tour and no less than 8 over five days and four nights.

FAQs

Why should I consider doing a college tour with Football Hotbed?

You can tour nearly any college by reaching out to a coach or member of the athletic department of any of the Division One college football programs that interest you.  Most times, you’ll be accommodated and given a basic facility tour.  If you’re a talented athlete based off your film, you’ll be afforded a bit more access.  Taking a tour with Football Hotbed gives you access despite your skill level.  It allows you to go behind the scenes and learn what it truly takes to play at the highest levels of football.  The biggest reason, however, is that every time we enter a school, we provide a prospect list first.  Your film is usually attached, and participation almost guarantees each school we visit will have evaluated your film.  This is a priceless guarantee. Good film leads to opportunities that can lead to scholarships. In the Ivy League, good film and elite grades can lead to acceptance into America’s most prestigious institutions.

What does the tour price cover?

Tours are a nearly weeklong experience with lots of travel and expenses.  Our tour fee covers room and transportation.  Each athlete is responsible for his own meals and spending money for snacks and any souvenirs. Tour participants are also responsible for covering the costs of any college camps we attend.  While camping is NOT required, it’s encouraged on dates we’ve identified as camp dates for athletes.

My son was given a “golden ticket” for his performance in The Kings of the South tournament, which his team The West Melbourne Cowboys won last night. We were told that this ticket gives our son the chance to try out for the Hotbed All American team that will be playing in Jacksonville, Jan. 3, 2015. We are not sure of this information. Is this a ticket to the game, or is it indeed an invitation to try out for the team? Who do we contact for information?
