Coral Springs, FL– There are several key match ups over the youth football landscape nationally that feature some great players and great teams facing off.  On Friday’s Football Hotbed will take a sweep around the nation to highlight these games and provide a preview of what we expect to happen.  Here’s this weekend’s match ups:

SOUTHEAST

The Carol City Chiefs are rebuilding their 14U program this year behind the talented coaching staff of Rich Jospire and Jester ‘Buddy’ Bailey (a new acquisition from the Miami Gardens Ravens via the Scott Lake Vikings).  Gone are super studs like 2019 RBs Nayquan Wright and James Cook and in are a new crop of athletes looking to prove themselves.  They face the Ft. Lauderdale Hurricanes, led by head coach Vonnie Andrews, who have a bevy of talented 2020 prospects like ATH Jordan Cash and DT Henry Bryant, both of whom have garnered national attention.

These teams met in the super bowl of the Florida Youth Football League last year and the Chiefs snuck by with a 12-o victory.  The Canes now want payback and come in as the favorites.

The winner will undoubtedly be considered among the nation’s best at the age division.  The game is set for Mills Pond Park in Ft. Lauderdale at 6PM EST.  For more coverage, follow the FYFL on Twitter

According to Tennessee youth coach Cedric Lynn, there is a must see match up Saturday in Memphis, TN. The Memphis Giants vs Memphis Ducks…Both 10u teams sit at 4-0. The game is Saturday at Melrose Stadium. The kickoff is set to start at 3pm.
