National High School Junior Showcase Practice Report

Powder Springs, GA — The strength of this group undoubtedly are the skill positions. You didn’t have watch practice too long before the fleet-footed receivers, hard-nosed running backs and fearless defensive backs made their presence felt at McEachern High School.

Junior showcase practice standouts

QB Jaden Williams, Miami (FL) Norland: The dual-threat QB only continued to impress as the weekend progressed. He was on the money throwing to a bevy of talented wide outs and backs.

RB Kye Robicheaux, Columbus (GA) Glenwood: A Hotbed showcase veteran, Robicheaux earned the nickname “Mr. Two time” after winning MVP honors in two previous Hotbed showcases. Coaches expect the talented running back to shine once again in the 2020 junior showcase.

WR Romello Brinson, Miami (FL) Northwestern: The talented receiver has been as good as advertised in Hotbed practices. Brinson’s speed and playmaking ability make him one of the top receiver recruits in the nation for 2021.

WR Danarius Hendricks, Monroe Area (GA) High School: Another big play receiver with great top end speed, Hendricks is near impossible to catch in the open field.

WR Davis Mallinger, Viera (FL) High School: All Mallinger does is make plays. He continues to standout amongst a stellar group of wide receivers.

WR Tanner Koziol, Bloomingdale (IL) Nazareth Academy: A long and imposing receiver, Koziol is a nightmare matchup for smaller defensive backs.

WR Omari Stewart, Miami (FL) Norland: Stewart has speed to burn and then some. Showcase coaches were giddy just thinking about getting him the ball in space.

OL/DL Laurence “Big Baby” Seymore, Miami (FL) Central:  They call him big baby but the University of Miami commit is all grown man business. Seymore looked and played the part of a big-time power 5 lineman.

OL, Sebastien LaRaque, Miami (FL) Columbus High School: Listed at 6’6, 305 pounds, LaRaque is literally and figuratively a can’t miss prospect

DE Ja’Corey Hammett, Miami (FL) Northwestern: A long, athletic pash rusher who’s sure to be an impact player at the next level. Hammett picked up another scholarship offer during the Showcase college tour.

ATH Joel Felder, Fort Lauderdale (FL) Boyd Anderson: Felder has made it clear he’s capable of playing college by consistently making plays on both sides of the both. He notched a pick six in scrimmage work Saturday.
