Football Hotbed held its’ annual National High School Exposure Showcase on July 16th, at Denmark High School in Alpharetta, Georgia. This is the second consecutive year the annual summer showcase has been held at the home of the Great Danes. The staff and coaches at Denmark were
gracious hosts once again, making for a wonderful experience for camp attendees, parents, and supporters. Athletes from all over the country competed in combine drills, 1v1 and 7v7.

We’ve come to expect top-tier talent and competition at Football Hotbed events and Saturday’s Showcase did not disappoint.  Players started the day competing in the combine-style drills. Class of 2023 WR Gethsemane “Semy” Turner from Loudon, TN set the tone with a blistering 4.06 in the shuttle. Not to be outdone Class of 2023 WR Lavontae Miley of Macon, GA posted a 40 time of 4.37. These guys weren’t the only ones posting flash-like times either. Once the one on ones and 7 v 7 sessions got going, so did the ‘oohs and ahhs’ in the stands at Denmark High School.

Players took full advantage of the opportunity to showcase their skills. The 7v7 championship came down to the wire with Team Hotbed holding on late to hold off Team Shock.  Most Valuable Players were awarded by class, as well as the best overall quarterback.

For the class of 2025, the MVP was awarded to Max Helms from Kennesaw, GA. Max had the most clutch touchdown catch of the day on a late scoring drive, which put his team ahead for the eventual win.

Taking home class of 2024 MVP honors as well as the Football Hotbed Overall Camp MVP was Keon Davis from Atlanta, Georgia. Keon came to the camp as an athlete, and he proved he can get it done on both sides of the ball. Keon spent the day making plays at wide receiver and safety.

The High School Exposure Showcase MVP’s were awarded invites to Football Hotbed’s National High School Showcase to be held January 13-16 in Atlanta, GA. During that weekend, athletes will go on college tours, get game film, as well as participate in the padded showcase games to end off the weekend.

The Football Hotbed National HighSchool Showcase will feature one game for each class, 2024-2026, played on Monday, January 16, 2023.
This event has shown to be a proving ground for young talent in past years. I expect no less come this January. Invites for January’s showcase will be going out throughout the fall. For consideration, email your position, graduating class, film link, city, and state to info[at]footballhotbed.com.
