Raleigh, NC – The Class of 2032 showcased tremendous talent during Football Hotbed’s 12th Annual National Middle School Invitational Showcase, a two-day event that began at Duke University on June 8 and concluded at Ravenscroft School in Raleigh, NC on June 9.
The rising seventh-grade class competed in combine testing, position-specific instruction, and live competition against some of the nation’s top young football prospects. The event opened with athletic testing and skill evaluations at Duke University before transitioning to competitive drills and 7-on-7 action at Ravenscroft School on the final day.
When the competition concluded, Dylan Wright of Round Rock, TX earned Most Valuable Player honors. Wright delivered the most complete performance of any athlete in the division, posting the fastest 40-yard dash and fastest shuttle time in the class before dominating the second day’s 7-on-7 competition. His combination of speed, athleticism, route-running, and playmaking ability separated him from a talented field of competitors.
Wright is no stranger to the Football Hotbed platform. The Texas native previously traveled to South Florida to compete in Football Hotbed’s 12th Annual Middle School All-American Game in January 2026 and once again proved why he is regarded as one of the top young athletes in the country.
Several other athletes turned in standout performances throughout the showcase and established themselves as players to watch moving forward.
Blake Izokovic of Huntersville, NC impressed coaches with his consistency throughout the two-day event. The talented wide receiver showcased strong hands and route-running ability while competing against a national field of athletes.
Leonardo Swatsworth of Charlotte, NC demonstrated outstanding versatility by competing at both wide receiver and defensive back. Swatsworth made plays on both sides of the football and displayed the athletic traits that make him one of the most intriguing prospects in the class.
Jamir Owens of Knightdale, NC emerged as one of the division’s top tight end prospects. Owens displayed athleticism, competitiveness, and positional versatility throughout the event while proving to be a difficult matchup during the competition.
The following athletes were recognized as standouts in the Class of 2032:
Dylan Wright (Round Rock, TX) – MVP
Blake Izokovic (Huntersville, NC)
Leonardo Swatsworth (Charlotte, NC)
Jamir Owens (Knightdale, NC)
As a result of their performances, all four athletes will receive invitations to participate in Football Hotbed’s 13th Annual Middle School All-American Game, scheduled for December 31, 2026 through January 2, 2027 in Miami, Florida.
The Class of 2032 may be one of the youngest groups competing at the National Middle School Invitational Showcase, but the talent on display in Raleigh suggests the future is bright. With athletes representing North Carolina and Texas among the top performers, this year’s group showed the athleticism, competitiveness, and football IQ that has become synonymous with Football Hotbed’s national platform. Several members of this class appear poised to become familiar names within the Football Hotbed community over the coming years.
