The Football Hotbed High School ExposureShowcase Series features the nation’s best high school quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers, tight ends, defensive backs, linebackers, offensive and defensive lineman. All are set to compete on Football Hotbed’s national stage to measure their growth during the off-season and to compete against the best in the country. With the loss of spring football in most areas due to Covid-19, this year series is important because it gives athletes an opportunity to display their ability on film for colleges and package on their Hudl accounts. The date is August 29, 2020 at River City Sportsplex in Midlothian, VA at 13030 Genito Rd, Midlothian, VA 23112.
WHAT’S DIFFERENT ABOUT US? Best Exposure Camp Brand
The National High School Exposure and Future 4 is an off season showcase designed to help get high school athletes to college. Increasingly, these off season evaluations and camps are being weighed heavier in the recruiting process. It’s like taking a standardized academic test. While they aren’t the true measure of ability, they are a good indication and colleges, recruiting services and scouts are using them to draw conclusions about your athlete. During our first ever Future 4, 2019 QB Spencer Rattler (AZ) and 2019 QB Brian Mauer (FL) both finished in the top 5 in Middle School. Last summer during THE OPENING, the nation’s premier High School Event, Rattler and Mauer both made the finals and Rattler walked away as the Elite 11 winner and overall MVP. Both kickstarted their careers at the National Middle School Invitational Showcase.
The biggest difference is having actually college coaches on the field at our showcase. We are inviting Division II coaches from across the country and they will be on hand to watch workouts. It’s a chance to get ahead in the recruiting process and improve your standing with schools who may not even know who you are.
Secondly, the opportunity to compete with some of the best athletes in your high school graduation class and earn the title of best at your position is a resume boosting experience that can empower young athletes with confidence. In the past, winners of this event have gone on to receive significant attention from colleges and even offers. Nigel Bethel, II ran a 4.38 40 yard dash time at our first ever showcase and he eventually signed with the University of Miami.

The 12th Annual Football Hotbed National Middle School Invitational Showcase quarterback competition kicked off Monday at Duke University with a full day of evaluation and competition featuring some of the nation’s top young signal callers. The day began with combine testing, transitioned into routes on air, and concluded with the highly anticipated QB Test, with scores from all three phases combined to establish the Day One leaderboard in each graduating class. Future 4 Director and Head Quarterback Coach Drew Phillips came away impressed with the level of talent on display. “This is one of the deepest and most talented groups we’ve had in recent years,” Phillips said. “The arm talent, football IQ, and competitiveness these young quarterbacks showed today was outstanding. There are several players here with very bright futures ahead of them.” The competition will conclude Tuesday at Raleigh’s Ravenscroft School, where quarterbacks will compete in live throwing sessions and final evaluations to determine the overall champions in each class.
