It’s time for the the nation’s largest platform for Middle School athletes in the country looking to compete in high school to gain college scholarships and play at the Division I or Division II levels.  The National Middle School Invitational Showcase presented by Football Hotbed is in year seven and we couldn’t be more excited about our annual gathering on one of the nation’s largest exposure platforms, FootballHotbed dot com. It all started with our Future 4 quarterback competition in 2015 and expanded to include skill players and competition on a college campus in 2016 at the University of Miami. In 2017, with the addition of the 8th grade class of 2021, the event was now complete and included every athlete on the field except specialist as lineman were added to the two-day showcase camp. There is no other camp like it in the country and that’s still true.

Last year, in 2020, we couldn’t compete at Georgia Tech as scheduled due to the on going pandemic but we held an amazing competition at Mt. Pisgah Christian School with plenty of great talents at each position, all lived streamed on our YOUTUBE channel.

This event has launched dozens of careers and provided college football resumes for some top names. The very first year of the Future 4 produced three division one players in the Top 4 of the 2019 class.  Overall, 16/32 quarterbacks in the class of 2019 went on to play division 1 football. The MVP, Spencer Rattler is currently the  starter at University of Oklahoma, runner up Griffin Helm is at New Hampshire (playing WR) and Dalen Menard is at Boston College.  All are on full athletic scholarships and all at the Division I level.  It’s truly incredible what the National Middle School Invitational Showcase has meant to so many.

In 2016, the first year of skill players and lineman, the running back MVP, Chris Tyree just completed his first year at Notre Dame, a college football playoff participant. The defensive back MVP Rashad Torrance competed this year as a freshman at the University of Florida.  The overall MVP, best athlete award, went to Avante Williams who was ruled medically ineligible to play due to injury for his freshman season at the University of Miami. But he, like his counterparts all used their time at the National Middle School Invitational Showcase to prove that they were elite and

Other Division I players from the first year’s 2019 class include: Brian Mauer (Tennessee), Michael Kern (Wake Forrest), Daniel Richardson (Central Michigan), Nik Scalzo (Kentucky), Kyle Terry (Army), Curt Casteel (Harvard), Adam Ceceree (Wake Forrest) for Baseball, Peyton Brown (College of DuPage), Preston Colbert (Cornell), Deon Jones (Chardon State),

Your OFFICIAL INVITE serves as an ‘offer of invitation’.

HOW DOES THAT WORK?

The same way college offers work. They are committable as long as your spot is available.  To accept your offer, pay your registration fees to attend the event. If the offer is not accepted, the spot in the competition will be offered to other deserving athletes.  Space is limited and once the numbers are reached, the competition will be closed, even for athletes who have previously been offered invitations.

MEDIA

Here’s a look back at that first-ever, competition.

There are nearly 30 division 1 athletes in this photo with more pending. Easily the best collection of middle school quarterbacking talent assembled in one place during our fist ever competition.

This is what a day at the Future 4 looks like…

Day 2 is always at a local HS to complete the competition and crown the champions and MVPs

PLEASE NOTE: There are no refunds under any circumstances. We are in the midst of a global pandemic, please keep this in mind.  In the most extreme circumstances the event would be postponed but never cancelled. In the instance where you cannot attend an event, a credit toward a future Football Hotbed event will be offered with notice at least two weeks prior to the event taking place.
