The 5th Annual Football Hotbed Senior Bowl is a post-season showcase for members of the graduating senior class. During our inaugural event in 2021, several athletes used their film and performances to boost their college football resumes. Those led to opportunities for many of them to play college football on scholarship and others received Division 1 Preferred Walk-On (PWO) opportunities. That’s our principal aim. This is the nation’s most sincere platform that answers the competitive nature of young athletes nationwide who desire to complete their high school football careers, able to fully display the breadth of their talent and potential.
Over 35% of the athletes who participated in the first annual senior bowl accepted Division I, Division II or NAIA scholarships or Preferred Walk-On (PWO) offers to play in college. Many did not have these offers prior to their participation in our senior bowl during MLK weekend, prior to National Signing Day in February.
THE PURPOSE OF THE SENIOR BOWL is to:
a. allow athletes who played out of position to help their High School teams. Allows them to get the film at their college position to boost their recruitment potential.
b. get more film at a position played (a highlight supplement), using the last opportunity to play a tackle football game.
c. to use the Football Hotbed platform to draw attention to their talent (possibly being from a lower recruited area of the country)
d. enable athletes the ability to show their competitiveness on the football field in a live, tackle football all-star game.
