Henry Strange of Raleigh, NC captured the 2031 Future 4 championship at Football Hotbed’s 12th Annual National Middle School Invitational Showcase after one of the most dramatic finishes in event history. Strange outlasted Jace Vorlicky of Tampa, FL in a thrilling four-overtime championship round at Ravenscroft School. Kade Johnson of Pikeville, KY finished third, while defending champion Chanley Hodges of Westlake, TX placed fourth after returning to the finals one year after winning the title as a sixth-grader. All four finalists earned invitations to the 13th Annual Middle School All-American Game in South Florida.

True North Titans Stun Back-to-Back State Champions West Boca Raton to Win University of Miami 7V7 Tournament
MIAMI — True North Classical Academy just sent a message to every program in the state of Florida.
The Titans defeated the West Boca Raton Bulls in the championship game of the University of Miami 7V7 Tournament — knocking off the defending back-to-back FHSAA Class 6A state champions in one of the most significant early-summer results in South Florida high school football.
West Boca is not just any team. The Bulls went a perfect 15-0 in 2024 to win their first state title, then came back in 2025 and shut out West Broward 31-0 to repeat. They are the standard. And True North just beat them.
Led by Class of 2027 quarterback Zac Katz (#9) — a 6’1, 196-pound signal caller with a 3.8 GPA and offers already on the table — and versatile playmaker George Harris (#1), the Titans showed they are ready for a different kind of conversation heading into the 2026 season.
With Chaminade-Madonna and Cardinal Newman moving to Class 2A, the path to a state championship in 1A runs through Miami. And right now, it may run through True North.
